I'm a surface pattern designer and illustrator who lives and works in Boise, Idaho. My distinctive personal style shows my graphic design background and celebrates nature through the artful reimagining of floral and animal shapes.
Native plants and flowers, animals, and organic shapes are all brought to life with contrasting and harmonious colors and bold compositions.
“Beautiful shape-making is key when I create my patterns. I strive to bring out the symmetries and lovely negative spaces in my work.”
Digital illustration is my primary tool when developing patterns. I'm also proficient in watercolor, having been taught by Clay McGaughy, Finis Collins, Nick Jaros and Ivan McDougall. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Art from Trinity University in San Antonio and a Masters in Technical Communication from the University of Minnesota.
